In fact, the area of interior Alaska, from Denali, north to Fairbanks and Fort Yukon, is perhaps the best place on Earth to watch the aurora. Unfortunately for most visitors to Alaska, seeing the northern lights is not something that many people get to do, because most of our guests come in the summer, and the skies here in Alaska don't get dark enough to see the aurora.  However, for the savvy traveler and the hearty souls, seeing the northern lights in Alaska can be done with just a little planning.
